Sprite PCB Replacement / Upgrade
$32.00
The Creality Sprite hot end is one of the best upgrade kits (and OE hot ends) for 3D printers today, IMO. Unfortunately, the breakout PCB and wiring harness that it comes with can easily destroy your machine if wired incorrectly, and the SMD connectors can easily rip off the surface of the board.
My replacement/upgrade PCB adds several features over the original to maximize reliability:
– Through hole connectors – won’t just tear off!
– OE connectors – no rewiring necessary
– Diode bridge connecting the heater lines to the fans, ensuring proper polarity at all times
– Additional fan cooling port for dual fan setups
– Filament out sensor port with common JST-XH connector – uses unused pre-terminated 3 wire connector on OE Sprite harness – can be plugged directly into filament out port on board with no rewiring
– LED signal uses pin #6 on the OE harness’ pre-terminated 2 wire connector – #5 no longer tied to ground
– Easy to read labels with sizes and connector types
Requires a printed bracket to account for the additional/through-hole components, listed below. The bracket also incorporates a diffuser for the LED and proper strain relief for the ribbon cable.
