This class will focus on installing OctoPrint on a Raspberry Pi, configuring OctoPrint for your 3D Printer, and understanding the basic operations of OctoPrint.
Class Material Provided:
- One (1) Raspberry Pi Kit
Two (2) Heat Sinks
One (1) USB Cable for connectivity
* Participants are encouraged to bring their own 3D Printers and their laptop, if possible. Class satisfaction will be severely effected if these items aren't brought in.
* Participants should have the Raspberry Pi Imager installed on their laptop prior to class. (https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/) Class Agenda: Each table will have it's own local area network, file server, and access to a local copy of the OctoPrint image. Download the local copy of the OctoPrint Image and will burn said image to a provided SD Card. Unpack and physically set up the Raspberry Pi Learn how to find the Raspberry Pi on a network Boot up the Raspberry Pi, log in, make changes Log into OctoPrint Configure OctoPrint for use Learn the basics of OctoPrint * We will discuss OctoPrint addons, but as each participant network is an air-gapped stand alone network, we will not be actively installing any addons.
